Kristen + Jordan | Mayville NY Engagement Portraits
Murl and I photographed Kristen and Jordan’s engagement session at their Mayville, NY farm a couple of months ago, but I still get excited every time I see them. I just adore these images! They are a couple of really cool people and they were so open to letting us decide where to shoot and how to pose them — that is our favorite type of client, ones that completely trust us and know we will capture some awesome portraits.
I believe this was the first time we photographed with horses and cows and it was just a lot of fun. Something different for us and I think we nailed the whole country/rustic vibe with their engagement session. What do you think?
Now that wedding season has drawn to an end I’m finding myself with a bit more free time which hopefully translates into a lot more blogging for me in the next few months! We have so many sessions to share with you, especially those of you who are not on facebook and haven’t gotten sneak peeks at any of them.
Presque Isle Engagement Portraits | Julia & Aaron

A couple of nights ago Murl and I drove out to Presque Isle to meet up with Aaron and Julia for their engagement portrait session. It was one of those hot, sticky days and they both managed to look perfect through the whole shoot! We found some fun spots throughout the park and even utilized some of the tornado damaged area. After Presque Isle we headed over to Dobbins Landing to catch some sunset portraits. As usual, check the facebook page for more from this Erie engagement shoot!

Anna + Brett | Outdoor North East Engagement Session

Over the weekend we made some great images of another of our August wedding couples. The settings were perfect as Brett and Anna are the laid back outdoorsy type and North East is brimming with gorgeous outdoor scenery! These two were so much fun to photograph, very animated and expressive and totally adorable! Special thanks to Sam + Becky Best at Lakeview Wine Cellars for letting us shoot in their vineyards and winery! [PS: go try their white sangria, it is perfect for this hot summer weather we are having!!]

Megan + Scott | Clymer NY Engagement and Wedding Photographers
Last Friday Murl and I drove out to Clymer NY to photograph Megan and Scott’s engagement session at their home. It was a beautiful day, they both looked great and it was fun to photograph them in their every day surroundings and with their cute dog Raven!

Cherry Orchard Engagement Photography | Risa + Nick
I love social networking [ surprise, surprise ]. Seriously though, there was an opportunity to photograph in a beautiful location but only for a very limited time. I put the word out that I was open for a photo session and BAM! there was Risa and Nick! With my busy schedule I don’t get to be as spontaneous as I used to be so Facebook and Twitter have really helped me utilize “down time” and find clients I may not have otherwise. For those of you who aren’t already following me on Twitter and Facebook — what are you waiting for? 
These two drove up from Meadville PA to work with me and I am so glad they did! Risa is a model and was so easy to work with and her fiance Nick was a total trooper as we made him walk around, sit down, stand up, and turn this way on a sprained ankle with nary a complaint!

Westfield Engagement Portraits | Amy + Eric
Last week Murl and I met up with Amy and Eric in Westfield for their engagement portrait session. We had the good fortune of an unseasonably warm evening but the clouds swooped in and really didn’t let the sun peek out much at all during our shoot but we got some great images regardless! It was so much fun shooting in Westfield; everywhere we looked there was a new fun spot to shoot! I’m positive we will definitely be heading back there in the near future.

Fun Save the Date Portrait Session

A lot of you were asking questions when I asked all my facebook friends if they had a bowling ball and/or a big chain [ understandably, I suppose ]. Well it was for a fun save the date postcard photo shoot and now that they have been sent I’m allowed to share our efforts with you all! I think they turned out great! And on the back side of the postcard that second shot appears.

Kelley & Mike's Jamestown NY Engagement Session | Jamestown Wedding Photographer
We met up with Kelley and Mike in Jamestown for their engagement session. It was so much fun getting to shoot somewhere new! We saw so many great places to photograph in the Jamestown area and we chose several downtown locations. We had beautiful blue skies and some sunshine to keep us warm on this incredibly cold afternoon.

Heather & Nate's Winter Engagement Portraits

Murl and I got together with Heather and Nate on what seemed to be the coldest, windiest weather we’ve ever photographed in. I think with the wind chill it was below zero! But they were absolute troopers and we had some fun running around North East and heading up to Peek’n Peak for their engagement session.
H&N – thanks for freezing with us, we got some really great portraits! We are definitely looking forward to working with you guys in the warmer fall air later this year though! H&M

On Saturday we had the fun “job” of photographing two different engaged couples. Thanks to Heather & Nate and Kelley & Mike for braving the cold and getting some great portraits
