After being out sick with the flu for over a week I finally got to get out and do some shooting! The first thing I photographed yesterday was sweet, little, newborn Sawyer! He is such a handsome little guy with so much adorable hair
::look at his sweet little smile!::
Congratulations to Abby and John and thanks for having me photograph his first official portrait session! Check facebook for some more images from this session!
Okay so I definitely didn’t get to post last week! We’ve been super busy and we also made a trip to New York City last week. I just wanted to update a little bit and let you know that we are hard at work and working on something really awesome for all Erie and Jamestown area wedding couples, stay tuned for more updates as we are able to release them!
Also, its not too late to get Christmas pictures done for either prints to be given as gifts or for Christmas/Holiday cards to send out. Another fun option is to send out Happy New Year cards.
And we will end this on an adorable picture captured earlier today — this is Millie, an English/Olde English bull dog puppy! There will probably be more of Millie’s portraits on the facebook page sometime this week.
Looking for a florist for your wedding?
Today I randomly received a beautiful floral arrangement from Danielle at Miss Millie’s Proper Petals in Corry, PA! I love it and it made my day, thanks Danielle!! They are the florists who did an amazing job at Ryan and Amanda’s wedding!
Oh my gosh, I know its been a while since I’ve posted, I’ve been busy and hopefully I can get back on track with posting next week! Have a great weekend everybody! <3
Earlier this week we met up with Amanda and Josh on a perfect fall day for their engagement session. The colors were so amazing I found it difficult changing some of the images to black and white! Amanda and Josh have our highly coveted Labor Day weekend wedding. I have never had so many requests for one single date in my career so far. I’m so glad they booked us early — they are a great couple and I know we are going to have so much fun at their wedding!
A+J – Thanks so much for being open to anything we suggested, you guys were awesome and we are excited to photograph your wedding next year! <3 H+M
Check the facebook page for even more images from this session.
I’ve got some exciting news, any canvas orders placed now through October 30th are 20% off! This offer is available to any of my current and past clients. Good for wedding photography, engagement portraits and any other portraits taken this year.
If you want to get in on this deal give me a call or email me and we’ll get you set up with an awesome canvas or two. They make wonderful gifts and the holidays are coming up fast! Don’t buy an impersonal gift card, give them a gift they are going to cherish forever

Thanks, Amanda! Hope you and Ryan are enjoying married life and your new house! <3
I was so excited when the FedEx guy showed up this morning — I knew my very first wedding album I’ve ever done was coming in today. I had seen this style of album several times in the past couple of years and was always wowed by them, so I knew once I decided to offer albums I was going to carry this product. It was like opening up a Christmas present — I was excited to see this beautiful product with OUR work, OUR clients in it!
Its a gorgeous, well put together album that I am proud to offer my clients. Here are a couple of photographs of the book all wrapped up in its ‘green’ packaging – recycled pineapple leaf handmade paper with a handmade paper ribbon from recycled mulberry leaves. It is beautiful, don’t you think? I’m so excited to receive this year’s wedding albums!
I’ll show you what’s inside next week! Hope you all have a great weekend! <3 Heather
I’m sure you remember Jen and Scott from one of my recent engagement session blog posts. Well they tied the knot last Saturday in a very stylish way! We couldn’t get over all the wonderful details they had put together to make their wedding stand out, loved the boutonnieres, all the festive flowers and definitely their cake! They hired an amazing dream team to get the job done –
Ceremony — Abbe Reformed Church – Clymer, NY
Reception — Peek’n Peak Spa & Resort, Findley Lake NY
Cake – Jennifer Shaffer – Lake City, PA
DJ — Dan Warren – Frewsburg NY
Photographer — Heather Neckers Photography

One more thing — check the Heather Neckers facebook page for a few more images from the Knepper wedding!
On Friday Murl and I squeezed in some engagement portrait fun with Mike and Amy. We were so fortunate that the rain stopped falling minutes before they arrived for their shoot. We headed out to Quincy Cellars in Ripley in hopes of shooting in their gorgeous remodeled barn. [We are still waiting to shoot a wedding there, I hope it happens soon!] Unfortunately they were closed BUT they have a massive weeping willow tree out front by their pond so we put that to use! Lucky for us Amy has been keeping up on her America’s Next Top Model and we didn’t need to worry about posing her Seriously, how cute are these two?!
We ended the night at a beautiful lookout on Lake Erie where Mike had proposed to Amy in the spring. The vineyards are just so gorgeous in the fall! And with the moody skies, it turned out to be a gorgeous night for their session after all! As always check the facebook page for more images from their session, they will be up shortly!
We are so looking forward to your wedding next year — It’ll be here soon! <3 Heather + Murl
Murl and I photographed on Presque Isle Wednesday night for the first time and it was gorgeous — off topic: I’m all sorts of pumped for the Labor Day 2010 wedding on the beach now! Katie and Matt spend a lot of time at Presque Isle so it was important to them that their e-session take place there and we are always up for anything so off to the beach we went.
I can’t say it enough, but we have *the* coolest couples. I guess our whole ‘are we compatible?’ meetings are proving to be successful because they are all truly wonderful. I think we got along so well with Katie and Matt because they are a bit silly like us They were like old pro’s as we moved from spot to spot and explained what we wanted them to do. We got there a bit before sunset and got a lot of great images, I’m going to share just a few with you here, and as usual, more on the Facebook fanpage!
:: i loooooove this shot! hands down my favorite ::
