Christmas Family Portraits
December 17, 2008 by Heather · Leave a Comment
A few weeks ago I photographed the Quezada’s family portrait for themselves and their Christmas cards. They are such an adorable family I wanted to share their card with you. I also wanted to let you know that its not too late to order your New Year’s cards with images taken at HNP recently or if you want to purchase an image to make your own cards that is an option, too.

Some exciting [ delicious even ] news!
December 4, 2008 by Heather · 3 Comments
I’m so excited to inform you all that my studio is moving! And with the new ‘home’ – a new look! And here comes the delicious part — the new studio is going to be right next to [ drum roll, please -- ] The Cocoa Tree on South Lake Street!! I’m ecstatic! I can’t wait to be right downtown where all the action is
I’m already fantasizing about walking across the street for lunch at the Boston Bean and then hitting The Cocoa Tree for some truffles on my way back to the studio! Mmm, this can’t be good for me…
I want to end this post by saying that I’ve had a great two years here in the Haines Printing building, where they have been absolutely amazing [ saving the day on more than one occasion ]. But I am ready for more space, and to unveil a new look for HNP, and be within walking distance of so many great businesses. More information to come throughout the winter. The new location should be open sometime around March.
Maternity Portraits
Yesterday Erin came into the studio for some maternity portraits. She had her hair and makeup done by the girls at Bella’s Salon and Day Spa and she looked fabulous! Makes me glad I decided to go with them for hair and makeup for my wedding! We tried a lot of different things and here are the results…We’ll kick this post off with a gorgeous head shot. Look at that hair – it is divine!

I really love this last one! Erin [ and Brandon! ] — Congratulations! With your genes this baby boy is going to be the cutest little guy ever

Winter wedding in Clymer, NY | Chelsea + Chris
A couple of Fridays ago Murl and I had the honor of photographing Chelsea and Chris’ winter themed wedding. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Abbe Reformed Church in Clymer, NY, followed by a fabulous reception at the Retreat at Peak’n Peek Resort & Spa. It was really neat to photograph their wedding because I graduated with their older siblings and I watched these two grow up!

I thought this was such a unique and beautiful idea. Each rose had a tag attached with the name of a loved one that they wanted to remember on their special day.

Urban XpERIEnce Magazine Photoshoot | Erie, PA
November 21, 2008 by Heather · Leave a Comment
Well I am snowed in at home and going nowhere today so I thought I’d take a moment to update you about a photo shoot I had on Wednesday. A new magazine about Erie happenings is coming on the market, Urban XpERIEnce will be coming out mid-January. Its going to cover lots of great topics ranging from fine dining to art & culture in the area. Its much more than just a magazine though, there is going to be a fantastic online experience for users as well. I’m really excited about what they have in store for everyone.
Anyway, we decided to shoot the cover shot at Twelve O’ One Restaurant and Wine Bar, it made a great backdrop for the cover idea. Check out the images in the first issue of Urban XpERIEnce. Thanks to JB for letting us photograph there, I can’t wait to go back and have dinner soon!
Up next: a post from last week’s wedding — Chris & Chelsea! Stay tuned
Billboard Photograph
November 13, 2008 by Heather · Leave a Comment
For the past month or more there has been a billboard up by Stetson’s Hardware of Leigh Ann Orton advertising her services as a realtor for Coldwell Banker. I finally took a moment to stop and take a picture of it. You might be thinking, why would I do that? To that I’d reply that I photographed her business portrait for her and that is the biggest I’ve seen one of my images…so basically, I just thought it was pretty cool
That and to let everyone know that I do photograph business and artist’s portraits for public relations articles, business cards, websites and whatever else you may need.

Rachel + Ian's outdoor portraits | Clymer, NY
I thought it was such a great idea when Rachel and Ian came to me looking for some portraits they could give to people for Christmas gifts. Pictures are definitely one of the most personal gifts you can give someone! Who doesn’t love displaying portraits of their loved ones?
Yesterday the three of us drove out onto some back roads in Clymer, NY for an outdoor portrait session. We had a beautiful blue sky and a few remnants of autumn color at a couple of the locations. Here are some of my favorites:

It was fun shooting with you guys yesterday, I hope you had a good time and that you enjoy your pictures!

Andrew's Senior Portrait Shoot | North East, PA + Clymer, NY
A few weeks back Andrew came in for his senior portraits and we had a great time going all over town to find some cool locations for his shoot. We came up with so many great shots that it was really hard to pare it down to these few to show you. We started out in the studio, then we headed to the North East Train Museum – Lake Shore Railway – where we actually got to get inside a bunch of different trains! After doing a bit of shooting around town we then headed to 20 mile creek and the beach.

The following day I met up with him in Clymer, NY to photograph Andrew with his dad’s Barracuda and some of his closest friends.

Frances + Jaramie's Wedding | Erie, PA
September 29, 2008 by Heather · Leave a Comment
On Saturday Frances and Jaramie exchanged vows at Trinity Lutheran Church in Erie, PA. After the ceremony we headed down near the bayfront for some portraits before the reception started at the Siebenbuerger Club. It was a beautiful ceremony lead by Pastor Mark, the weather turned out just perfectly, and DJ Joel Miller did a great job entertaining the guests throughout the celebration. I don’t think they could have asked for a better day! Jaramie and Frances are such a fun couple it makes me realize that I say that after all of our weddings, but honestly, all of our brides and grooms are such great people, we are so fortunate to get to work with them all!

Frances and Jaramie — Congratulations and best wishes! You started out your new life together fabulously – thanks for having us there to capture everything! <3 Heather & Murl
